Ranj qualified as a dentist in 1993 from the University of Sheffield. He was awarded Master of Science in Periodontology (gum diseases) in 1998 from the Royal London Hospital, where he was trained in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the gums. He has been a member of the British Society of Periodontology since 1996. Ranj has been treating patients with gum problems, including those referred to him by other dentists since 1998.
He enjoys all aspects of dentistry including endodontics (root fillings), aesthetic composite restorations, veneers, crowns and bridges with a special interest in Periodontology. Ranj is an advocate of treatment under dental magnification. The more you can see, the higher the standard of treatment. It allows for complicated procedures to be carried out with a controlled measured approach.
Ranj has over 25 years of experience in general dental practice and offers treatment to all his patients with a gentle caring manner, especially those who are nervous and apprehensive.
Ranj was the Principal dentist in a busy South London practice for six years. He went on to become the Principal dentist in Oxford, at a private family practice for nine years. In 2017 Ranj took over as Co-Principal at Watlington Dental Centre. This allowed him to work much closer to home and spend more time with his family.
Ranj is married to Amy and they have a daughter. He loves skiing, golf and is an advanced level certified scuba diver.
